Day 1:
The Expressive Self-Portrait concentrates on capturing likeness, personality, and developing self-awareness. We'll master form, light, and complex techniques for luminous watercolor skin tones.
Day 2:
Atmospheric Landscape is dedicated to translating the scene's vastness and light, emphasizing simplification, atmospheric perspective, and working effectively from photos and sketches.
Day 3:
Luminous Still Life is a detailed study of composition and object rendering, with a strong focus on achieving brilliant color luminosity and developing your unique personal style in depicting texture and form.
Francesco Fontana
Francesco Fontana is a highly esteemed master of watercolor painting, recognized globally by collectors and critics alike. Winner of many international awards, his skill, dedication, and significant contributions to the medium are highlighted by his signature memberships in both the American Watercolor Society (AWS) and the National Watercolor Society (NWS).
Beyond his studio work, Francesco is deeply passionate about artistic education, having shared his knowledge with students around the globe through workshops and as a faculty member at the Plein AIr Convention in the USA, as faculty at the Milan Painting Academy. His commitment to advancing the art of watercolor is further demonstrated by his participation as a judge and speaker at prestigious events like Watercolor Live.

Cadmium Yellow Lemon / Hansa Yellow Medium

Primary Blue / Phthalo Blue (GS)
French Ultramarine
Olive Green / Olive Green

Paper:
Arches 100% Cotton, 200-300 gsm, cold pressed (fine grain), Green Cover. Minimum size 20x30 cm, or loose sheets.
Brushes:
Flat brush, 1/2 inch (12 mm wide). Example brand: Princeton Neptune
Round brushes, natural hair (sable, squirrel, or synthetic),
One thinner than a pencil and one thicker than a pencil
A 3 cm wide flat (hake style) and a squirrel hair mop
Palette - white enameled metal, or a ceramic plate, or a palette from a paint box. A good product is Mijello Fusion 18 Modules (for tube paints)
Paper board - to hold the paper (30 x 40 cm), Water container, Masking tape, Paper tissues, Sheets of paper or sketch pad 21 x 30 cm, 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils
